Education

Thank you for your visit to my page. I am 1977 graduate of Ringgold High. I attended ABAC in Tifton, GA before completing my coursework with the Berry College Class of ‘82 in Animal Science/Industrial Technology. I received my teaching credentials from UGA’s College of Agriculture and my middle grades certification through the Douglas County BOE and Kennesaw State. My plans are to enjoy my 32nd year in education (10th at HMS).  I currently teach an introduction to Agriculture class to 6-8th graders which includes the FFA student organization, which is an intracurricular part of the Agriculture classroom.  I plan to continue to work with FCA.  I am blessed to share my life with Melanie, my wife of 31+ years(Financial Secretary for Ridgeland High School; Walker County), and my family, Chase and Sarah Moore Callaway, teachers at Summerville and Adairsville Middle, respectively, Daniel, who works with Rock Fitness and is enrolled at Dalton State, and Laura, who is currently a senior at Dalton State as well.  I attend Ringgold First Baptist and teach 11 -12th grade Sunday school.  I enjoy good Barbecue, Braves baseball, Georgia football, good Southern Gospel music, singing with the church choir, FBC Men’s Ensemble.  When I have time, my hobbies include golf, racquetball, fishing, a good book (John Grisham), listening to many types of music and most anything my children are involved with.  My goal for this year is the same that it has been, “to build positive relationships & continue to improve my skills and enjoy the game.”
